Thank you for taking the time to visit Cake Engineer NYC.  I've finally had some time to get this website up and running.  I hope you like what you see!

I have no professional training.  I've never taken a course in cake decorating.  I'm just a very creative and detailed person.  Some may even say I'm a bit of a perfectionist.  I would like to think I just enjoy what I do and I want to create cakes that I would love recieve and hate to cut!

I'm a civil engineer by day (fancy way to say I design highways, streets, bridges, etc.) and a cake baker/decorator by weekend.  I've been decorating cakes since 2007.  Someone very close to me was getting married and showed me a cake they were considering for the reception.  I took one look at it and said "I can do that!".  I had no idea what "that" was.  I googled fondant and the rest is cake history!  I've always loved baking as a child so naturally decorating was the next step.
